A line chart is used to show the change in information over time. The horizontal axis is usually a time scale; for example, minutes, hours, days, months, or years.
  1. Select the data that you want to plot in the line chart.
  2. Click the Insert tab, and then click Insert Line or Area Chart.
  3. Click Line with Markers.
